Getting Started
As you start your search, begin by asking yourself the following questions to guide your search.
What are you going to use your property for?
The most important step to searching for property, is to write down what you are looking for.
Land
- Size; lot or acreage
- Type, lakefront, wooded, riverfront
- Building site
- Intended use of property, recreation, hunting, watersports, fishing, camping

Home
- Primary or second home or cabin
- Acreage or waterfront
- Boatable, allsports, fishing lake

Questions to Ask
- Has the land been surveyed? We recommend all vacant land be surveyed. This can be made a condition of the purchase agreement.
- Are there any deed restrictions that could prohibit camping or building
- Is the vacant land approved for well and septic
- Any special assessments, i.e. road maint., sewer, etc...
